The magician displays a small hand-held platform that is covered with an multi-colored drape. Also two colorful yellow boards are shown front and back. The boards are placed upright in the slots on top of the platform and a jumbo playing card is dropped between the two boards. At the magician’s command, the magician declares that the card has vanished! Indeed as the boards are removed and shown on both sides, the card has indeed vanished!

Unfortunately the magician now makes a terrible mistake. When turning around to put the prop away, the audience can clearly see the card hanging in the sling below the platform! What shall the poor magician do? The magician has no choice but to go ahead and show the audience the handling of the effect. This time however after the card is commanded to vanish, the cloth is whipped away and the card is not in the sling! Nope, it is not between the boards either! The card has indeed vanished!
