The magician takes an ordinary deck of cards and has a spectator choose a card (no force). The spectator can sign the card and the card is then returned to the deck. The deck is thoroughly shuffled, and the magician takes rubber bands and binds the deck together into a block. Then he throws the deck up into the air where it smacks the ceiling. The bound deck of cards falls back down to the magician’s hands but left stuck to the ceiling is the spectator’s signed card! This is the classic effect refined and made famous by Michael Ammar.
