Effect: A small and very elegant natural wood finish box is displayed, with a slot in the top and bottom, similar to the slot on a coin piggybank. The magician opens the clasp of the box and hinges the box open to reveal a piece of glass that completely fills the interior of the box. The glass can be removed, and the glass and box can be examined by a spectator. The glass is placed back into the box and the box is closed and locked. Next the magician displays a half dollar or other similar sized coin. The magician inserts the coin into the top of the box. Of course just as expected the half dollar does not go all the way through the box due to the glass obstruction. Holding the box eye level with the audience, the audience sees the coin sink into the box and apparently through the glass! The coin drops from the bottom of the box and onto the table or into the spectator’s hand. This box is beautifully crafted out of maple and is nicely constructed.
