Corner short cards have one of the four corners of each card in a deck neatly trimmed. When a card is chosen and then returned to the the deck, the card is first rotated 180 degrees (not turned over). When the cards are then squared-up, the chosen card now projects out the corners of the other 51 cards. See the photo above. The "reversed card" can then be easily controlled by shuffling, the cards being cut, identified by touch, and so forth. The cards are made out of regular red or blue poker sized Bicycle cards.
