The magician introduces a deck of cards. The cards are thoroughly shuffled. Then the magician displays a round four quarter paneled and colored card disk about ten inches in diameter. Over each color is a metal clip. Sixteen cards are then counted onto the table from the deck. A spectator chooses one of the cards, keeping the choice a secret from the magician. The card is returned to the sixteen card pack, and the pack is then thoroughly shuffled. The pack is then divided. 
 
Four of the cards are placed under each clip on the wheel color. Three of the colors are chosen by spectators and the cards under each chosen clip/color are eliminated. Of the remaining four cards, one of the cards is placed under each clip. Again three of the colors are eliminated, leaving one final card on the wheel. When that card is turned over, it is the chosen card!
 
This method for the Final Card (also called Last Card) was invented by the prolific English magician Eric C. Lewis c. It is described in Eric’s wonderful book A CONTINUATION OF MIRACLES.
