This is a fine Gospel illustration effect to remind a person of their need to "walk in the presence of the Lord to find rest for the soul" (Jeremiah 6:16 paraphrase). The magician displays a small velvet bag and pours out of the bag several polished rocks. The rocks represent the burdens of life that many people needlessly carry in life. One by one the rocks are dropped into the bag. Attached to the bag is a string with a nicely made wooden cross on the end. A fork is then displayed (as in eating utensil type fork), and the string is threaded through the tines. When the bag is dropped, of course the heavier bag of stones pulls the string down through the fork but is then stopped by the cross. That of course is one of the great benefits of having a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. The bag is opened, the stones have vanished, and the magician then produces a full sized Jesus silk hank from the bag! This is a great ra-make of the old U. F.
