The Hot Rod Pen is perhaps one of the first Hot Rod variations that make sense, because it is a real ink pen. The magician shows his ink pen on both sides to have a row of various colored dots. He asks a spectator to give him a number between one and six. For example, suppose the number three is chosen. The magician counts down one of the rows of dots to three, the red color. The magician then shakes the pen and all the spots change to the red color ON BOTH SIDES OF THE PEN! But wait, there's more. The magician shakes the pen once again and now the pen is back with different colored spots on one side, and all red on the other! The pen can then be handed for thorough examination. 521MM 0670
