The magician displays a long slender tube with a series of holes drilled through one side. He also displays a brass weight and drops it through the tube, and of course it drops right through. The magician then blows into the tube and then drops in the weight a second time. This time the weight slowly moves through to the bottom of the tube. The audience can clearly see the weight slowly falling through the tube. Give the tube and weight to the spectator however, and when the spectator drops the weight into the tube, of course it falls through rapidly! Everything can be fully examined. Newton's Nightmare is fun to perform, and easy enough for anyone to perform. 0001NUFFI01890NEWTON
