The magician displays a table with an ornate magical looking cabinet resting upon it. He opens the cabinet and his assistant climbs in. The cabinet is closed and is then hoisted into the air. Suddenly with a shot from the magician's starter pistol, the box falls apart and the girl vanishes into thin air! The vanished person can reappear immediately elsewhere including at the back of the auditorium.
 
This illusion is simple in performance, design, and approach. We built it with unique modifications including simple mechanics to make the box fall apart. While the illusion does require overhead rigging to raise the box up off the table and into the air, it is an incredible mid-air vanish!
