The magician allows a spectator to examine a small brass tube and a steel ball bearing. The magician places the ball on top of the tube to show that it is larger than the tube's inside diameter. Suddenly the ball starts melting down into the tube! Then just as mysteriously, the ball then melts back upward to the top of the tube.
