A five foot length of rope is cut in half and then it is tied back together with several knots. A spectator is asked to hold the two outer ends of the rope, with the rope outstretched between his two hands and the knots at the center. The performer takes another five foot length of rope and runs one end of it through the spectator’s knot and ties his rope to the know. The performer gives everything a quick pull and the spectator now holds a straight piece of rope fully restored with no knot! The performer’s rope now has the spectator’s know in it!
