The magician slowly pushes a silk hank into his fist. When the hand is opened, the hank has apparently turned into an egg! The magician then reveals how the trick works by showing how the hank is really tucked into the hole of a fake egg hidden in the hand. The magician demonstrates the trick once again, but then breaks the egg on the edge of a glass to show that it is now a real egg! 
 
There are literally dozens of different ways to do this classic “Silk to Egg” effect. Leave it to the diabolical mind of Dick Zimmerman to come up with one of the easiest and unique methods. This outfit comes with a small “egg cap” or shell if you will, that fits over a real egg. The shell has a compartment built within it, complete with a hole in the side that a silk hank is tucked into. Simply cap the shell onto a real egg and the trick is ready to perform. After you “explain” how the trick works a second time, simply palm off the shell and drop it off as you pick up the glass. Then all that has to happen is to simply crack the egg into the glass! It’s that simple!
